CAMP FOCUS: To reach your potential as a basketball player, you as an athlete, must learn the fundamentals of the game. Most important, an athlete should gain an understanding of why fundamentals must be developed and the importance of their improvement in the off season. Outstanding players are made during the off season. The amount of hours you practice intelligently and with a purpose, along with fundamental instruction, will be the difference in reaching your full potential. By exposing campers to enthusiastic instruction and good competition, our camp staff hopes to instill a desire in you to work and strive with purpose to become the best player that you are capable of becoming. Campers will receive individual help in all phases of basketball, with careful attention in developing defensive and offensive skills. They will be matched in physically compatible groups. Age, size, and experience are considered before assignment.
“I believed in the basics: attention to, and perfection of, tiny details that might commonly be overlooked. They may seem trivial, perhaps even laughable to those who don’t understand, but they aren’t. They are fundamental to your progress in basketball, business and life. They are the difference between champions and near champions… There are little details in everything you do, and if you get away from the little details, you’re not teaching the thing as a whole. For it is in the little things, which taken together, make the whole. Little things make the big things happen. In fact, there are no big things, only an accumulation of little things things, done at a very high standard of performance.”
- John Wooden
