2025 Teen Summer Sailing Camp

Silverdale Teen Sailing Camp

This sailing camp is designed for teens ages 13 to 18 who are ready to build confidence on the water and expand their sailing skills in a fun and challenging environment.

Campers will sail in Vanguard 15s (V15s)—sleek, responsive two-person dinghies that are perfect for learning teamwork, speed, and more advanced techniques. Whether your teen is brand new to sailing or looking to improve their skills, this camp offers a dynamic and supportive experience on the water.

Throughout the week, sailors will learn:

Advanced sailing techniques and boat handling

How to work as a crew and skipper in a two-person boat

Right-of-way rules and tactical sailing

Safety procedures and capsize recovery

Rigging and maintaining performance sailboats

Logistics:

Location: Meet each day at Silverdale Waterfront Park, at the head of the pier

Time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Check-in/out: A parent or guardian must check sailors in and out daily

Cost: $250 per session

All experience levels are welcome—just bring a sense of adventure and a love for the water!

Cancellation Policy

Participant Cancellations:

If you cancel at least 72 hours prior to the start of your camp session, you will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee.

No refunds will be issued if a camper is dismissed from the program due to a violation of camp rules, safety guidelines, or if the camper chooses not to continue once the session has begun.

Camp Cancellations / Illness:

If the camp session is canceled by us or your child is unable to attend due to illness (with physician verification), we will provide a prorated refund based on the number of days missed.

Inclement Weather & Unforeseeable Events:

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to cancel one or more camp days. Should this occur, we will notify you by 8:00 AM on the day of class via email (or earlier if possible).

Please ensure we have your current email address on file.

Note: We do not provide make-up classes or refunds for cancellations due to weather or other events beyond our control.

Fortunately, we have not had to cancel a class to date.
