INDIVIDUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Club Program Aide / Volunteer / Mentor           

• Club program aides can assist in any program and/or administrative areas: administration, accounting, S.T.E.M Courses (Science, Technology, Engineering  & Math),  arts & crafts, homework assistance, the arts (dance & drama), special events planning and coordination of tournaments. 
• Club program volunteers and mentors work with individuals or small groups after school to help members meet academic goals and be positive support during educational programs.
• Commitment: Mentors are asked to commit to a minimum of 2 hours weekly and will be asked to provide availability for the same time and days each month.
• Background Check: All VBGCQ volunteers are required to go through a thorough background check in order to qualify for volunteering.

GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

Group volunteer activities are great opportunities for companies, organizations, clubs, and schools who want to make a difference with our youth and help with a large one-time project or on a continuing basis (requires at least three weeks notice before scheduled date of project).

There are many ways you can help - from donating items such as office supplies to electronics, to completing one-time projects such as building beautification or aiding in special events.

The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens prides itself on being a community resource for youth philanthropy and civic engagement.  We are also a resource for students who are seeking internships to gain experience in non-profit administrative work and working directly with Club members through developing, planning and implementing youth programs.
