AFTERSCHOOL

Since 1955, Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens has been committed to offering high-quality programs and services at an affordable cost. Today, we serve roughly 2,500 school aged children each year in after school, summer camp, swim classes, and weekend workshops. Our programs are fun, unique, and educational. We provide a safe, and positive environment for children to grow, learn, and have fun.

Core programs at the Club include the arts (both visual and performing), STEM (Science,Technology, Math, & Engineering), academic tutoring (for a full hour), swim (in our amazing indoor pool), athletics (basketball, soccer, gym games, etc.), and nutrition/ cooking classes.

We currently operate after school programs at our Club in LIC, and at various schools in Queens including IS10 Beacon After School, Academy of the City Charter School, and PS171Q. Each of our program sites has activities tailored to the specific needs of its families.

Elementary School Academy (sponsored by Council Member Costa Constantinides):
- Grades 1-5 registration for 10 months of after school - FREE!
Elementary School Annual Pass (our best price for summer camp):
- Grades 1-5 registration for 10 months of after school + 8 weeks of summer camp - $800
Middle School Academy:
- Grades 6-8 registration for 10 months of after school - FREE!
- Must also fill out this form.
High School Academy:
- Grades 9-12 registration for 10 months of after school between 7pm-9pm - FREE!

Site #2: IS 10 Horace Greeley (31st Ave. near Steinway St.)

Note: Open to all students, from all school, grades 1-12. Program starts on Sept. 18, hours 3-6pm with option for extended hours.
Registration will be done via lottery. Register here for the wait-list AND fill out this form. Notifications made by 9/12.

Note: Programs starts on Sept. 11, hours 4pm-6pm

After school for those qualified for "free lunch":
- $25 per week/ $100 per month
After school for those qualified for "reduced lunch":
- $45 per week/ $180 per month
After school for those not qualified for free or reduced lunch:
- $85 per week/ $340 per month
