South Charlotte Program

Since 1987, Carolina Rapids Soccer Club has provided our community with a unique soccer experience that provides the best possible soccer environment for our members.  Traditionally, the club’s community of North Mecklenburg (Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville) have represented the vast majority of our members.  As we’ve grown over the years, so has our community and membership base.  With over 3500 members, our players come from all over now, Concord, Kannapolis, Hickory, Charlotte, Mooresville, Statesville etc.

In Fall 2011, due to popular demand,  we started a recreation program in Denver, NC for the first time.  This recreation program has thrived over the years and, starting in Fall 2016, we will introduce the Rapids’ highly respected Youth Academy.

In Fall 2014, we started a recreation program in Charlotte - again due to popular demand.  This recreation program has also thrived and, now coming Fall 2015, Carolina Rapids is excited to offer a full competitive program to our newly expanded community.  The South Charlotte program will begin with a Boys’ and Girls’ Youth Academy (U9 and U10 age groups combined), a boys’ and a girls’ team within our Juniors Program and also a Senior Boys’ and Girls’ team.  Moving forward, the program in Charlotte will be known as Carolina Rapids – South Charlotte.

Why South Charlotte and Denver?  Quite simply, we have developed a very unique professionalized youth soccer club that offers a specific philosophy and curriculum aimed at increasing and improving the overall soccer experience for the player.  The Rapids Curriculum is proven to develop players at all levels and our teaching methodology is widely accepted as being a cognitive-oriented teaching method that is player centered.   As demand has dictated, we are happy to expand to new locations and provide this experience to a larger community of players.

Moving forward we will post additional information as the South Charlotte program grows and takes shape.

Communication Protocol

It is the Club's hope that a clear communication protocol will provide the Club's members a standardized mechanism for voicing their questions and concerns. The Carolina Rapids Board and Executive Director believe that to effectively operate an organization that is growing like the Rapids, it is important that the Club establish communication protocols that best support the efficiency of the organization while retaining the personal touch that our members deserve.

Any parent who has a specific concern should first make an attempt to solve it through the following path:
