Strength and specifically core strength training for soccer allows an average player to become and an advanced player and a complete athlete. AYHP’s core strength programs focus on developing a strong core helping players avoid injury, build agility and become faster players.
A strong core improves coordination and allows the upper and lower body to work in unison and balance. The rigors of kicking, running and cutting during a game place uneven demands on a player’s body, a strong core helps to balance the body so all muscle groups are developed similarly and work together.
Core strength training will provide players with better Endurance and Posture by strengthening your back muscles and allowing you to stand taller, improving your ability to head balls, and improving the leverage generated when kicking the ball.
You will improve your Strength and Power as core muscles generate powerful, explosive movement. Core muscles play an important role in the quick first step needed to beat a pursuing opponent in the defensive end of the field and to explode and beat a defender in the offensive side.
A strong core is the foundation of overall strength and fitness and has obvious benefits on injury prevention.
