  • Every child will play the field during each inning.
  • Each child receives 3 pitches from the coach/assistant.  If they do not proceed to put the ball in play the ball will be placed on the tee and the child will swing until ball is put in play.
  • NO SCORES ARE KEPT!!!!
  • The purpose of T-Ball is to teach the children the fundamentals of baseball - throwing, catching, fielding and hitting.
  • Tball uses soft rubber core balls for practice and games.
  • Trophies will be given to all participants who finish the season.

Super 7

  • Open to all children 6-7.  Typically this is any child in 1st grade. A child may play up from T-Ball but without prior approval from the supervisor cannot play down in T-Ball.
  • Starting in 2014 6 year olds will be allowed to play in Super 7 if their parents feel their skill level fits.
  • Games are played against other MRAA Super 7 teams
  • Teams generally consist of 10-12 players
  • Teams will play a total of 9 regular season games and in a 2 and out end of season Classic with the other Super 7 teams
  • Games usually start in March/April and usually end the 1st week of July (schedule permitting)
  • Most games are on Friday nights and Sundays - with some weekday exceptions (depends on # of teams)
  • Each game consists of 4 innings
  • Batting - 9 batter max per inning or if the fielding team makes 3 outs inning is over.  It is a continuous batting order
  • Fielding - 9 players per inning on the field.  Each child must play at least 2 innings - at least 1 being in the infield.
  • New in 2020 - Each child receives 5 pitches from the coach/assistant.  If they do not proceed to put the ball in play, the ball will be placed on the tee and the child will swing until ball is put in play (for the first 5 week)
  • New in 2020 - In week 6, the tee will no longer be allowed for games.  If a ball is not put in play after 5 pitches, the batter will be out.
  • New in 2020 - 3 swing and misses will be a strikeout from week 6 and throughout the rest of the tournament.
  • A double may occur if the ball gets past the outfield without a significant touch.  The outfield may not play any further back than halfway between the infield dirt and the out field wall.
  • A score is kept and there is a winning and losing team recorded for standings - to seed teams for end of year Classic.
  • The purpose of Super 7 is to expand on the fundamentals taught in T-Ball and to start teaching base-running, the true meaning of outs and prepare the kids for D1 baseball.
  • Trophies will only be given to the 1st and 2nd place teams in the tournament.
