It is with extreme sadness that I inform everyone of the passing of beloved Coach Jerry Scala.

 

Coach Jerry passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of 12/27.  He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.  

 

For those that were fortunate enough to get to know Coach Jerry.  You knew what a great man he was and how respectful and caring he was to everyone he met and worked with.  Coach Jerry has been a big part of the Toms River FC community, as well as several other Toms River based youth soccer programs.   He coached and trained many teams in our club for the last 15+ years, and also directed our clinic program for a few years as well.  He has had an incredible impact on many players, coaches, and families within our community. Coach Jerry was also a very well respected attorney based in Toms River who has helped many of our parents off the field as well.

TRFC will certainly miss you Coach Jerry.   Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
