SPRING 2026 Cheer

PISD Youth SPRING CHEERLEADING PROGRAM - 2026 (2nd Grade - 6th Grade)

Registration Fee: $55

Goal: To teach the basics of Cheerleading Dance Routines and Basic/Low Stunting while teaching discipline, teamwork, and increasing confidence. Having a great time is a PRIORITY as the students develops and continues a LOVE FOR CHEERLEADING!

NO LATE REGISTRATIONS.

2nd SEMESTER SPRING CHEERLEADING: Registration is required for EACH semester of Cheer! Therefore, if your student registered in the Fall, he/she must register again.
New skills taught each semester.

-Fall Cheer focuses on Cheerleading skills and opportunities to cheer at several Flag Football games are provided

Cheerleaders will receive a T-shirt and a Bow
@ 10 practices (There is no practice if school is not in session.)
Practices are held immediately after school on the registrant's home campus.

-Spring Cheer focuses on Dance/Low Stunting with a possible Showcase at the end of the program.

Cheerleaders will receive pom-poms.
@ 11 practices (There is not practice if school is not in session.)
Practices are held immediately after school on the registrants's home campus.
CHEER SHOWCASE scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2026

-- Southside Elementary (2nd & 3rd Graders): Tuesdays (Jan. 13 - March 31, 2026)

-- Story Intermediate: (4th, 5th, 6th Graders): Wednesdays (Jan. 14 - April 1, 2026)

We will be looking for various opportunities to perform at local events in the Winter/Spring Semester. If you know of an event at which we could perform, LET US KNOW!
A MANDATORY PARENT MEETING for ALL Grade Levels will be held: January 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM at Southside Elementary School (Park by the Cafeteria/Side Parking Lot.)

-- For campus safety reasons, practices will be CLOSED to the Public (No parent/guardians.)

-- Weekly practices will end at 5:00 pm. We ask that all cheerleaders be picked up no later than 5:10 pm. Your son/daughter may be released from the program without refund if parents are unable to
