Fall Cheer Goal: To teach the basics of Cheerleading skills while teaching discipline, teamwork, and increasing confidence. Having a great time is a PRIORITY as the students develop a LOVE FOR CHEERLEADING! A Spring Cheer Program will continue to address basic cheer skills along with adding a greater focus on the Dance aspect of Cheer. Selective stunting will also be introduced.

The 2025 PYSO Fall Cheer Program is ready to go! Cheer is open to boys and girls on the Southside and Story campuses.

The registration fee of $55 per child will include: Cheerleading shirt, bow, use of pom-poms, opportunities to cheer at PYSO Flag Football games, and 10 scheduled practices. Please note: All participants are asked to provide their own BLACK SHORTS OR SKORTS. this is our way of keeping the registration price low while allowing families to "get the right size" for their cheerleader! No spandex or short shorts... modesty is the goal (Mid thigh).

Registration has begun and will end Sept. 7. No late registrations will be accepted due to the nature of ordering supplies.

This year's programs will be held on both the Southside Elementary and Story Intermediate Campuses. Start times are immediately after school until pick-up by 5:15 PM

If there is continued tardiness for picking up your cheerleader, the participant will regretfully be asked to leave the program with no refund.

Practices begin Sept. 16 (Southside) and Sept. 17 (Story) in the campus gyms.

- For campus safety reasons, practices will be CLOSED to the Public (No parent/guardians.)

The Cheer Programs will end Nov. 18 (Southside) and Nov. 19 (Story).
