How It Works for High School Players

You never need a full roster to join. Start by registering as a player — then decide whether you want to build your own squad or be placed on one of our league teams.

Register as an Individual Player

Use the “Register as a Player” link and sign up under the High School division. Choose your school or community and add your info — that’s it. No team required to get started.

Form a Team or Get Placed

After you register, you have two options:

• If you’ve gathered a group, email Girls Flag Commissioner Audra Gibson with your team name and list of registered players so we can lock in your squad.
• If you’re signing up solo or with just a few friends, we’ll place you on a league team so you can jump right into the season.

Play Sundays in Competitive Matchups

Once teams are set, you’ll receive your schedule, NFL FLAG gear, and season details. The league will strive to match teams with similar experience and skill levels so every Sunday feels competitive, fun, and meaningful.

Already have a coach or a school-backed team? Great. Your coach can also register through the High School Teams option on the main site while players complete their individual registrations.

Quick Answers for Players & Parents

A few of the most common questions about the High School division. For anything else, reach out to BRYC Girls Flag leadership.

Do I need a full team before I register?

No. In fact, everyone registers individually. After you sign up, you can either help form a team by emailing Audra your team name and list of registered players, or simply ask to be placed on a league team.

What if I don’t know enough girls to form a team?

You’re still in the right place. Register as a player and we’ll place you on a team with other players from your school or nearby schools. Our goal is for every girl who wants to play to have a home in the league.

Can girls from different schools play together?

Yes. While many teams are school-based, community and “friends” teams are welcome. Once everyone is registered, send a single email with your team name and roster so we can group you together.

How do you make sure games are fair?

When we build the schedule and divisions, we look at experience, age, and competitive level. The league strives to match teams with similar skill so games are competitive, fun, and safe for everyone.
