Travel Programs-

Travel Basketball - 3rd through 8th Grade will be a part of the
Manchester Suburban Basketball League (MSBL)There will be tryouts for this program - any athletes that do not make the Travel Team for their grade, will be placed in the Rec Basketball Program.
Cost: You will pay the same registration fee as everyone else in grades 3 through 8 ($125). If your child/children are to make a team, there will be an additional fee of $75. That fee goes to the cost of joining the league, as well as extra official fees associated with playing travel basketball. See the next line about a possible extra uniform cost.
Uniforms: All travel uniforms are custom ordered and costs are paid by the parent(s). Families typically get 2 years out of the uniform, so this is not always a yearly cost. Costs can range from $20-$90 (depending on what you need to order for that year). Samples will be provided at registration and only ordered once the team has been finalized.
Practices: All practices will be in Hooksett at the local schools. Grades 3 and 4 will practice at Memorial School, Grades 5 and above will be at Cawley
Middle School. Practices will be up to 90 minutes long - Practice will start in November-
Playing time: Based on MSBL Policies- the following is the travel playing time based on Grade and Division-
Grade 3 & 4- Boys and Girls- All Divisions- 10 Minutes per game (unless noted in game report (due to missing practice, discipline, late to game, etc.)
Grades 5, 6, 7, 8- Boys and Girls- Division I - No Minimum playing time
Grades 5,6,7,8 - Boys and Girls- Division II - 8 Minutes per game- (unless noted in game report (due to missing practice, discipline, late to game, etc.)
Games: Teams will have 1–2 games per week, depending on coordinators, and coaches' approval. Hooksett will host home games at Cawley Middles School on Sundays throughout the season, so the majority of your Sunday games would be home and any Saturday games would be at the other teams' gym. Some of the teams in the MSBL league are: Auburn, Litchfield, Bow, Hampstead, Hollis-Brookline, Goffstown, Derry, Timberlane, Concord, and Merrimack.
Regular Season Dates- December 1- Games are allowed to be scheduled
Winter Break (No MSBL Games Scheduled) December 21 through January 5
Post Season: Typically, Grades 3 and 4 have their post seasons before February vacation and Grades 5 through 8 have their post season after February vacation. All of this is controlled by the travel league (MSBL). You may have to travel to multiple gyms during the post season, and your post season may span over 2 weekends. Again, this is all determined by the MSBL league.
Post Season Date- Grades 3 & 4 - Boys and Girls- February 14/15 (weather reschedule date- March 7/8)
Grades 5,6,7,8 - Boys and Girls - March 5 through March 15
