2025/2026 Hooksett Basketball- Girls Travel

The Hooksett Basketball Travel Program atmosphere is very competitive and emphasis is placed on learning the fundamentals of the game and working hard as a team to attain goals.

The program starts in early November and ends mid-March.

This is a CUT sport, a normal sized team is 10 players. Unfortunately, some very good players do get cut. Coaches don't just judge prospective players by skill, they also look at athleticism, coachability and probably most importantly team needs. Any player who tries out for the Travel Program and does not make the team is automatically enrolled in the Recreational Program. Available divisions may change year to year based on registration numbers and coaches.

Travel Players may participate in the HYAA Travel Basketball Program even if:
  • They are rostered on the Hooksett Cawley Hawks Basketball team.
  • They are rostered on any community school team, outside of Hooksett

Resident Restrictions:
Because we are a program run out of Hooksett we are required to have the majority of our players from Hooksett. If a team has 11 players or less a minimum of 8 players should be Hooksett residents. If a team has 12 players a minimum of 9 players should be Hooksett residents.

Age Guidelines
Our travel teams are based on grade level not age. Typically we will have single grade teams, ie. Grade 3, Grade 4. Occasionally we will have combined grade teams, ie. Grades 5th/6th. Players must play in their current grade level and cannot play in the grade level above unless on a combined team. 

Fees:

If your child makes the travel team, there is an additional fee of $75*, which is used for league and officiating fees. Additionally, there is a uniform fee* (TBD) in which the child keeps at the end of the season! This fee is non-negotiable, there is no multiplayer discount and applies to all travel players. If your child does not make a travel team and elects not to play in rec you will receive a refund minus a $25 admin fee.

Players who are NOT registered electronically and paid in full are NOT allowed to participate in HYAA basketball games or practices.

2025/2026 Hooksett Basketball - Recreation

Recreational program for children all all skill level from Kindergarten through Highschool. The program is designed to teach players the basic skills of basketball in a fun and positive environment. While games are introduced during the season, the emphasis is on skill development rather than competition. 

Please note: Some of our "recreation" programs may have a travel component because there are not enough players to support an "in house" Hooksett Basketball program. This year our girls rec program will be joining with Londonderry Basketball Club. Games will be held in both Hooksett and Londonderry. Our high school program will partner with Merrimack Basketball League.
