2025 Jackson Friends Church Fall Youth Flag Football League (K - 6th)

This Co-Ed youth flag football league will take place at Jackson Friends Church for grades K - 6th. The league will run August 23rd - October 18th. It will include nine practices and seven games. The registration cost is $82, which includes a pizza party night at the last practice and an end of year gift at the last game! Continuing on our changes from spring soccer, we are doing a dry fit jersey kit now for spring and fall sports, where you get a navy AND silver dry-fit shirt to wear at games (navy is home, silver is away). The cost is $18 for the kit. If you still have your reversible jersey from last season you may continue to wear it this season for your jersey, and you can borrow a dry fit for picture night, so that you match the team!

This league is a recreational flag football league for grades K - 6th. Volunteer coaches (mainly parents) will work with youth on developing their football skills, including catching, throwing, quickness, coordination, balance, reactions, etc. Youth will learn good practice techniques and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills. We will also provide weekly devotions and verses for the kids to give them an opportunity to hear about Jesus.

WE ALWAYS NEED COACHES, so if you are a parent are you have a passion for kids and football (and an hour to spare on a week day and Saturday), please volunteer. We will give you all the stuff you need for coaching and devotions. $10 coupon off of a future registration for coaching!

DEPENDING on sign ups, the league will have practices once a week on Tuesday or Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM OR 5:15-6:00 PM / 6:00-6:45 PM depending on your team (practices will be either one hour or 45 minutes long, followed by a short devotion). Games will be on Saturdays, late mornings/early afternoons, starting September 6th! We will have ONE Saturday practice to kick off the league on Saturday August 23rd (this practice will be an hour long for sure). All practices and games will be held at Jackson Friends Church, outside on our fields. In the event we have severe weather conditions, practices may be cancelled and games will be rescheduled. NO ACTIVITIES ON SATURDAY, August 30th, LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

The league will be split up into three divisions:

K - 1st Grade

2nd - 3rd Grade 

4th - 6th Grade

There will be two evaluation offerings before the season starts, so we can split the teams up evenly. Youth must attend ONE evaluation night (in the case that they cannot make either, they will still be able to play, I'll just need to collect some eval info). Evaluation opportunities will be Tuesday, August 12th, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, and Thursday August 14th, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Youth may come at any time during either of these dates, 5:30 - 7:00 pm (ex. - one kid could show up at 5:50 pm and another shows up at 6:45 pm). The evaluation process only takes about 10 - 15 minutes. We will plan on doing evaluations outside, unless we have bad weather (in which case they will be indoors. You'll get an email if we have any weather issues). Rosters and Practice Schedule will be announced by Tuesday evening, August 19th (game schedule will follow soon after).
