2026 Spring Co-Ed Volleyball Clinics (3rd-6th grade)

This spring, we are adding a NEW volleyball clinic, that we run alongside our other spring programming. This will be a SEVEN WEEK clinic, meeting twice per week, for 90 minutes each session. The clinic will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 - 6:30 PM here at Jackson Friends Church, Co-Ed, for grades 3rd - 6th.

Coach: Jenna Johnson (who led most of the fall league 2025 and has a TON of experience playing and coach, bio below)

Dates: The clinic will run April 7th - May 21st, seven weeks and 14 sessions of 90 minutes.

Cost: $125 for ALL SESSIONS (includes pizza party at the final week and an end of season gift)

$75 for either Tuesday only sessions or Thursday only sessions (7 sessions total, includes pizza party at the final week and an end of season gift)

Clinic Description:

Our weekly volleyball skills clinic for 3rd–6th graders is designed to build a strong foundation in a fun, encouraging environment. Each session will focus on age-appropriate skill development including passing, serving, setting, hitting, footwork, and game awareness, while also emphasizing teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. The participants will be split into two courts, so that they are playing with kids of similar grade an skill level.

Practices will include drills, skill stations, and game-like activities to keep players engaged and learning at their own pace. Whether your child is brand new to volleyball or looking to improve their skills, this clinic provides a positive space to grow, learn, and develop a love for the game. Each session will also include time for a short devotion as well!

Coach Jenna's Bio:

Jenna earned a full-ride Division I volleyball scholarship to Cleveland State University, where she competed for all four years of her collegiate career. After college, she was recruited to play professionally in Switzerland, spending six years competing at the professional level.

She brings extensive coaching experience, including varsity and junior varsity volleyball, private skill training, and coaching with Jackson Friends youth volleyball in the fall. Her passion is developing confident athletes through strong fundamentals, high-level technique, and a love for the game.

We are excited to build upon what we were able to do in fall 2025, with this spring clinic! We hope to keep growing the skills and number of participants this spring with youth volleyball, and continue it on in the fall with our youth league!

PRACTICE WILL LIKELY BE MONDAYS OR THURSDAYS ONLY (TUESDAY IF OVERFLOW), SO PLEASE BE AVAILABLE ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS. Let us know if Tuesday is an option as well, if we do open that up. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
The first week of practice is March 30th week, which we know is spring break for the local schools. For some teams who have coaches out of town, this can just be a warm up day to come out and play around and see where you'll practice each week!

This Co-Ed youth soccer league is for boys and girls, and will take place at Jackson Friends Church for grades Pre K - 7th grade. The league will run March 30th - May 23rd. It will include seven practices and eight games. Teams will practice once weekly (Monday or Thursday, with Tuesday as back up third option, if we have overflow, not a guaranteed night), with games on Saturdays. First practice will be on Monday, March 30th or Thursday, April 2nd (depending on your team). Practices take place at 5:30 OR 6:30 PM and will be one hour in length (except pre-k, which is 45 minutes). We will have one Saturday practice on Saturday, April 11th (nothing April 4th, Easter weekend). Games will normally be on Saturdays, however we will have two weeknight games per team for the season in place of practice. Because of Easter Weekend's timing, we will do the first games in place of practice on April 13th/16th and the first Saturday games will be Saturday, April 18th!!! The only other GAMES in place of practice will be the very last week of the season, May 18th/21st. We WILL play the final games Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23rd to close out the season! Normally we do not play Memorial Day weekend because school is already out, but with Memorial Day being early this year, and school still in session, we WILL play that weekend. Games will start as early as 10 AM and as late as 1 or 2 PM, depending on sign ups.

Cost for Registration differs by division: Pre-K - 3rd Grade is $85 and Grades 4th - 7th is $90. Each registration includes a pizza party at last practice and an end of season gift.

For jerseys, we do TWO DRY FIT JERSEY SHIRTS, to wear on game days. A home jersey (navy) and away jersey (grey). The cost will be $18 to receive the two jersey kit. If you still have a reversible jersey from years past you can use that again this season and borrow a new dry-fit jersey shirt from us for picture night.

This soccer league is recreational and will focus on developing youth's soccer skills, as well as their relationship with Jesus Christ. Youth will learn good practice techniques and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills.

*Spring soccer splits into FIVE DIVISIONS:

Pre - K / 4 Year Olds (MUST BE TURNING FOUR BY END OF THE SEASON TO BE OLD ENOUGH TO PLAY IN THIS DIVISION)
Kindergarten/1st Grade
2nd/3rd Grade
4th/5th Grade
6th/7th Grade

For grades Pre K - 3rd, they play 4 vs 4 or 5 vs 5 on smaller fields without goalies (Pre K - 1st, roughly 30 by 25 yds, 2nd/3rd is 40 by 32 yds). For grades 4th-7th, they play 6 vs 6 or 7 on 7, on the large field with goalies (roughly 60 ish by 40). For more info on rules, check out https://www.jacksonfriendschurch.org/soccer-league-pre-k-7th

*Pre K / 4 Year Olds Info - practices will be around 45 minutes (shorter due to recommended length for this age), and games will consist of four 8 minute quarters. For Pre K, coaches may be out on the field with the kids to help them, but there will be a ref out there as well. K-3rd plays four 10 minute quarters (one refs, coaches off to the sides). 4th-7th plays two 22 minute halfs (one main ref and one or two sideline refs).

There will be two evaluation dates available for the youth to come out and be evaluated before teams are created. Dates for evaluations are Monday, March 16th, 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM OR Thursday, March 19th, 5:15 - 7:00 PM. Youth need only attend one, including Pre-K this year! You may come any time during the 5:15 - 7 PM timeframe (evaluations only take 10-15 minutes per participant). Evaluations will be at Jackson Friends Church, out on the field. IF either date is canceled due to rain/bad weather, our make up date will be Monday, March 23rd.

Depending on the amount of NEW coaches, we MAY have a coaches meeting at Jackson Friends Church on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00 PM, immediately following the final evaluation. IF it is mainly returning coaches, I will meet individually with new coaches and email all coaches, before the start of the season. All practices and games will be held at Jackson Friends Church, outside on our fields. In the event we have severe weather conditions, practices may be canceled and games will be rescheduled, potentially in place of a future practice.
