2025 Jackson Friends Church Fall Junior Soccer League (Pre K - 3rd Grade)

This Co-Ed youth soccer league will take place at Jackson Friends Church for grades Pre K - 3rd Grade. Pre Kindergarteners should be four years old or turning four years old during the season (three years old is too young in most cases). Our fall soccer league goes up to 3rd grade, because our flag football league is also running at the same time in the fall on the large main field. The junior soccer league will run August 23rd - October 18th. It will include nine practices and seven games. The cost is $80 and includes a pizza party at the last practice and an end of year gift! Continuing on our changes from spring soccer, we are doing a dry fit jersey kit now for spring and fall sports, where you get a navy AND silver dry-fit shirt to wear at games (navy is home, silver is away). The cost is $18 for the kit. If you still have your reversible jersey from last season you may continue to wear it this season for your jersey, and you can borrow a dry fit for picture night, so that you match the team!

Teams will practice once weekly TUESDAY OR THURSDAY, with games on Saturdays late mornings/early afternoons. We will be running at the same time as flag football. First practice will be on Saturday, August 23rd (the ONLY Saturday practice). First weekly practice will be Tuesday August 26th OR Thursday, August 28th (depending on your team). DEPENDING ON SIGN UPS, practice will either run 5:30 - 6:30 PM OR at 5:15-6:00 / 6:00-6:45 PM (45 min long). Practices will either be one hour or 45 minutes long, followed by a short devotion. Practices will only be 45 min if we need to for the schedule, but we may be able to make practices an hour again. First game will be on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. Games will start at 10 AM. Pre K will be it's own division, K/1st grade will play together and so will 2nd/3rd Grade. The Pre-K field will be played on a smaller field and K/1 on a mix of small/big and 2nd/3rd on just the bigger field. Matches will be played 5 vs 5, with a maximum of 10 players on each team (unless smaller teams need to be made, in which case matches will be 4 vs 4. THERE WILL BE NO ACTIVITIES SATURDAY, AUGUST 30th, LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

WE NEED COACHES. Please sign up to coach if you can spare an hour on a week night and a Saturday each week (we can be flexible if you have to miss sometimes). We have everything you need to be a great coach with our partnership with MOJO youth coaching, from first timers to experienced coaches :) ($10 off coupon for next registration with us)

The league is recreational and will focus on developing youth's soccer skills, as well as their relationship with Jesus Christ. Youth will learn good practice techniques and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills.

The league will be split up into three divisions:

Pre K Level

K/1st Grade Level

2nd/3rd Grade Level

There will be two evaluation dates available for the youth to come out and be evaluated before teams are created. Tuesday, August 12th, 5:30 - 7 pm OR Thursday, August 14th, 5:30 - 7 pm. Youth need only attend one. You may come any time during the 5:30 - 7 PM timeframe (evaluations only take 10-15 minutes per participant). NO EVALUATIONS FOR PRE-K LEVEL, unless you want to see if your child can move up to the K/1st division. Evaluations will be at Jackson Friends Church, outside on the field by the playground. Soccer evaluations will take place at the same time as flag football evaluations. Rosters and Practice Schedule will be announced by Tuesday evening, August 19th (game schedule will follow soon after).

All practices and games will be held at Jackson Friends Church, outside on our fields. In the event we have severe weather conditions, practices will be cancelled but games will be rescheduled.
