This 2025 season marks the 20th Anniversary of our organization--having a rich history in community sports development in Chesapeake, Virginia. Originally founded as the Camelot Youth Football & Cheer Association, the organization has evolved significantly over the years. We began our journey as the Camelot Cavaliers to reflect the organization's roots in the Camelot neighborhood of Chesapeake and to instill a sense of community pride and tradition. The "Cavaliers" moniker was emblematic of nobility and chivalry, aligning with the organization's mission to foster character and sportsmanship among youth athletes.
As we grew and evolved to better serve the broader Chesapeake area, we rebranded under the Chesapeake Athletic Association as the Chesapeake Wolverines. We adopted this new emblem to represent strength, resilience, and community pride. The association's home field is located back at Camelot Elementary School--a nod to its origins. Over the years, our football and cheer programs have achieved great success. Our football teams have demonstrated competitive aptitude, with several age divisions reaching Regional Finals and securing runner-up positions in recent seasons. Our cheer squads have excelled regionally and nationally, with squads earning titles such as Southeastern Virginia Champions, Mid-South Regional Champions and Regional Best All Around.
The 20th anniversary marks not only a milestone in the organization's history, but also a celebration of its enduring impact on youth sports in the Chesapeake area. We're proud of our legacy and excited for what the future holds! Thank you for being a part of the journey!
