Spring 2025 Assessments Information

Dates:
January 25 & February 1, 2025

If you haven't already, please click here to register your child(ren) for the upcoming season. If you have already registered your child but have not been given a link to the assessments signup page, please email [email protected].

Who must attend player assessments?

  • Any player wishing to play Minors (league age 8, 9, or 10) during the spring season must attend player assessments.
  • Any player wishing to play Majors (league age 11 or 12) during the spring season must attend player assessments, unless already assigned to a team at that division.
  • Any player who wants to "play up" must attend assessments.

The assessment dates listed above are the only days that will be available, so please sign up as soon as possible. We may open more time slots if more are needed. If you have more than one player assessing, you must fill out the form for each player. The signup will be paused Friday, January 24th, at noon, and reopen on January 25th, at 5pm, to accommodate assessments planning and coordination. First, the signup slots are done as a suggestion according to the Little League Age International Chart (https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2025-baseball-age-chart/). We understand that some parents have players that are playing in different divisions or have time constraints, and this is why it is only a suggestion.

Second, when you sign up, put your child's name in the comment. If your child knows for sure that they would like to assess for pitcher and/or catcher, please indicate that on the form. If that note is not made, they will not be given the chance to assess for those positions. If your child does not assess for pitching/catching, they are still eligible to play those positions during the season.

Third, assessments will be held at Lewis High School auxiliary gym (please use door 14). Children need to arrive wearing appropriate footwear. NO CLEATS OR CROCS! You will need to bring a helmet, bat, and glove, but we will have equipment on hand for anyone who does not have their own equipment. If you are assessing for catcher, catcher's gear will be provided.

Finally, it is extremely important that you are 10 minutes early to your time slot! This will allow for your player to be signed into the assessment, be given their name tags and numbers, and get all their gear out. The slots are running back to back, and it is important we keep everything on schedule. If your player is assessing for a higher division than their league age, then please note that your child not only has to pass the assessment to be able to play on the same level as those in the higher division, but the spaces on the teams will first go to those within that division, and then be filled with those of the younger ages. Your child's ability does not guarantee them a spot on the team in the higher division.

During the assessment, no parents will be permitted into the gym. Please be prepared to wait for your player in the hallway.

Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.
