Job Description:
- Administer and manage NMYSA’s Coach/Parent Education Program that would include parent meetings, parent handbooks, handouts
- and occasional seminars.
- Work with LCYSA and NMYSA to promote attendance at all clinics and hold coaches accountable for coach requirements, course compliance, age-appropriate education and age-group education.
- Coordinate with NMYSA State Technical Director for updates and information to be helpful for LCYSA to also coordinate coaching education.
- Work with LCYSA to maintain all records of courses and clinics including pre-registration, attendance, financials and facilities.
- Serve as a mentor and Coordinator of Instruction for all LCYSA level clinics as per guidelines from USSF/USYS/NMYSA.
- Manage, organize and run league camps, practice sessions, player clinics & special topics courses (Age Group Transitions, Goalkeeper and others) periodically throughout the year.
- Assist in operations and promotions of all LCYSA league programs/events/tournaments.
- Promote NMYSA ODP and YOP programs.
- Work alongside clubs in LCYSA to encourage teams to form better teams by combining including forming travel teams.
- Conduct DOC meetings and develop action plans to assist in coaching and parent education needs.
- Promote MOJO content and relationship to members.
- Maintain current license updates and attend USSF, USYS, USC events specific to DOC role.
- Report to LCYSA Board of Directors and staff on all coach, player and parent development issues including providing input on LCYSA programs.
- Any other duties as assigned by LCYSA Board of Directors as necessary.
This role requires travel to conferences and licensing clinics and the LCYSA DOC is required to attend LCYSA Board Meetings, the AGM and the PGM to present activities related to coach/parent/player programs.
This will be a one-year contract and full-time position requiring the LCYSA DOC to maintain office and field hours.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Technical Director or Director of Coaching
US Soccer Coach Educator Certification – USSF / USC
USSF C License Preferred (within last 5 years) or appropriate combination of license with intent to continue Coaching Education
Experience with US Soccer Learning Center
