Eligibility Information
In order to play at Chaires Little League, the player must meet one of these eligibility criteria:
- Live within the boundaries of Chaires Little League
- Attend school within the boundaries of Chaires Little League
- Players league age 4-7 may register for any League without respect to any geography or school-related eligibility requirements. Older siblings of registered players 4-7 are also eligible to play. For further detailed information, see official Little League page.
- Have an approved waiver on file
Please use the
Little League Address Finder for specific address look-ups.
Eligibility Documentation
Proof of residency documents or the school enrollment form are required to be uploaded during the registration process. These documents will need to be scanned and uploaded in Step 2 of the registration. Make sure the file size is not greater 1 MB.
Waivers
If your player does not meet eligibility criteria, the only way they may play in our league for a spring season is to have a waiver requested by the Chaires Board and approved by Little League International.
Note, the fall season is not an official Little League season; therefore waivers will not be required or filed for fall registrants. When registering for a spring season, the registration system will display the below message if a waiver would be required:
“Based on the information submitted, it appears that you have not yet met the eligibility criteria to participate in this league. Please note that if you have a sibling that is eligible to participate in this league and has not yet registered, your eligibility status will be updated if they complete the registration process. To find a league you qualify for based on Little League's eligibility criteria, please visit PlayLittleLeague.org.”
If you receive the message, the system
will let you proceed once you close the pop-up window, but please email
[email protected] with your request to have a waiver filed. Not all waiver requests can be accommodated.
Approved waivered players must continue to play each spring season to keep their waiver intact. The first year a player is a waiver player, that player will not be eligible to participate on an All Star team.
***SPRING 2026 UPDATE***
The Board of Chaires Little League voted in November 2025 on these guidelines for waiver requests:
- No waiver will be requested for a player who is eligible to play with a different League.
- Players who played in Fall 2025 and do not have a waiver established already will be waitlisted. Their registration and new waiver request will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis after registration closes pending available capacity.
- New players who are not eligible for any league (via home, school, or age requirement) and did not play at Chaires in Fall 2025 will not receive a waiver request.
