Patriot Youth Sports

My name is Dustin Burwell, I will be serving as Patriot Youth Sports board president for the 2024-2026 term. I’m husband to the love of my life Kacey, and father to two of the most kind, outgoing, and beautiful souls on earth. I’m a devout Catholic. The Faith has taught me a life in service is a life well lived, and there is no one more deserving of our time and service than our children. In the program I have coached football, and I’m currently in my second year with 10u softball. In addition to my work with Patriot Youth Sports, I practice youth ministry as a Catechist to middle school aged boys at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline, Mi. Professionally I’m employed as an Electrical Engineering Technician and Team Leader for GFG Instrumentation of Ann Arbor, Mi.
I became a board member in 2023 with a focus on improving uniforms, our digital footprint, and fundraising. The impact these programs have on the kids in our communities can’t be overstated.
My goal is unique, because of my age and the age of my children. I aim to serve as the bridge between two generations of parents, I would also like to raise 10k by various methods. Both goals are strictly to ensure the programs success during my tenure and well after my departure.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Hatfield Vice President of Patriot Youth Sports. I am a 2016 graduate from Clinton High School, married to Jamie Hatfield a 2015 graduate from Britton Deerfield schools. We have two kids: Carter (6) and Magnolia (2). We live in the village of Britton who prides themselves on small town values. I am excited to be a part of a committee that helps encourage kids to play sports starting young to learn not only fundamental skills but life skills while enjoying the love of the game. Our goal is to provide not only for our own kids but future kids the same opportunities to grow and learn in the sport they chose to participate in but to also  strengthen our program to be able to advance our kids with better opportunities, encourage/prepare future PYS families to join and boost student morale! We wouldn’t be able to do this without the help from you! Thank you.

Hi!  My name is Tania Roehm and I have been the Treasurer for Patriot Youth Sports since 2020.  I am a 2003 graduate of Deerfield High School, married to my high school sweetheart Adam, a 2002 graduate of Britton Macon High School, and we have 4 very active children: Ella (12), Mason (9), Noah (7) and Rowan (4).  I grew up playing sports, and I am thrilled that my children share the same love and enthusiasm.  I am proud to be a part of the PYS Board, continuing to provide our kids with the opportunity to learn and grow as they participate in the sports that they love.  I hope to continue strengthening our program so we can build more knowledge and player confidence, provide more player opportunities, and leave a lasting impression from the years they’ve spent under the PYS umbrella.

Hello, my name is Angel Barrett, Secretary and Kendall Barrett, Trustee. We both are 2006 graduates of Deerfield High School (Angel) and Britton Macon High School (Kendall). We have been on the board since 2020, but have been volunteering and coaching with PYS since 2014. We have 4 children: Natalie (14), Kendall (12), Cheyenne (11), and Mackenzie (9). They have grown up in the PYS program, with 2 children who have moved on to middle school and high school sports. Our organization helps develop the fundamental skills necessary to participate safely with confidence in future sports programs. Raising money and support can benefit all youth in the program and offer sports to those who may have difficulty covering the cost.

My name is Sarah Dudley. I am a Trustee of Patriot Youth Sports. I have lived in Britton for 5 years now and  have 3 young children and loved being apart of this small town. Being in a small town makes sports challenging because there aren’t as many options but I want to make sure these kids have options and opportunities to do everything they love. I want to help achieve those goals and help raise money for Patriot Youth Sports for the upcoming years.
