Intermediate Baseball Information

  • The Intermediate Division is for players who will still be 11, 12, or 13 on August 31. Player preference and age will be considered when determining which 11- and 12-year-olds may play in Intermediate instead of Major.
  • Games are 6-inning, player-pitched on a 70-foot diamond. League rules are closer to those of the Junior division (and closer to high school rules); for example, runners may lead off and steal any base at any time.
  • Pre-season practices begin two to three weeks before the season are typically weekday evenings. Some indoor practices may be scheduled, depending on the weather.
  • Generally, there are two games per week, primarily on weekday evenings, with a few Saturday games.
  • All home games are at Village Park in Thiensville. Away locations include West Bend, Grafton, and Cedarburg.
  • Players will receive a team jersey and hat and have access to team helmets, bats, and catcher's equipment. Players must provide their own pants, belts, socks, and gloves; they may also use their own bats and helmets. All bats must be in compliance with rule 1.10 and be approved by USA Baseball; wood bats are authorized. BBCOR composite bats are also approved and will NOT have the USA Baseball stamp (https://www.littleleague.org/playing-rules/bat-rules/).
