SVU Futsal Club is an age-appropriate technical and tactical training and match program for aspiring young soccer players. Our Goal is TRUE COMPETENCY in the Fundamentals of Futsal. SVU Futsal Club sessions will include Technical and Individual Tactical Skill Acquisition, as well as Futsal System of Play Development during match play.

 About Futsal
Futsal is a small-sided soccer game (5v5) with goalkeepers played on a hard surface the size of a basketball court. The format encourages players to develop their ability to cope under pressure and in tight spaces while learning to play quicker.  Modified soccer balls with less bounce are used and the surface, ball, and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces. The game of Futsal provides many benefits for developing players including:

• Improves decision-making and spatial awareness
• Improves speed of play
• Improves transition from Defense to Attack & Attack to Defense.
• Improves Creativity
• Increases contact with the ball and shots on goal
• Favors a dynamic playing system and rotation of positions
• Motivates and involves all players

  Wednesday Nights (Technical Training Focused)
  **12/6, 12/12 (Tues), 12/20, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24
  Friday Nights (Match Focused - 5v5 Futsal)
  **12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26

  U11/12: 6:00pm - 7:00pm @ HE Indoor Courts
