SUNDAY FUNDAY - INDOOR 5V5 LEAGUE

5-a-side games played to lines on our indoor turf. The game requires players to be skilled on the ball, quick of feet and mind. The action is fast-paced, goals are numerous, and creativity is rewarded throughout the match.  SVU is pleased to offer Harrisonburg and the surrounding areas a youth league to play this indoor game!

All 5v5 matches are to be played at the Horizons Edge Split indoor Turf field.  The facility will features two (2) 35 x 30 yard Fields. Both fields are premium artificial turf and are designed specifically for safe indoor soccer play.

SVU 5-a-side league will have hope to have both advanced and intermediate divisions, in order to serve all levels of interested players.  Players can use this program to further their individual development or simply have fun with friends.  Get your team together now and sign up for the upcoming league!

REGISTRATION

Cost per player: $90.00 per player.

Space is limited and the program may fill by the registration deadline. Registrations will be accepted on a rolling basis while space is available after the deadline. The deadline to register is January 7th @ 5:00pm

Team assignments and schedules will be posted onto your SVU account by late January 9th with full game schedule. 
General Match Schedule will follow the following format:

U10 Matches - 12:00pm & 1:00pm Matches
U12 Matches - 1:00pm, 2:00pm or 3:00pm Matches
U14 Matches - 3:00pm & 4:00pm Matches.

LEAGUE FORMAT

The league plays a 7 week round robin competition beginning Sunday, January 14 and ending Sunday, February 25 with a make-up weekend on Sunday March 3rd. Matches are 50 minutes long (2x25 mins) and each team plays a minimum of 7 matches.

There are no practices during the week for 5v5 teams. Division structures and formats will be determined post registration based on teams. It will be our goal to keep standings and crown a champion if divisions allow.

TEAM FORMATION

Players register individually through their personal SVU accounts. Players are encouraged to form teams and make special requests to be with other players or a particular team facilitator.  To make a special request, enter the short request into the text box provided during registration. Ex: “U10 Team Barca”, “Coach David u14”, or “team with Shelby Trainer.”

You may also contact the program director prior to the registration deadline with team player lists so that we may assign players correctly after the registration deadline.

All teams must have an adult facilitator to manage the team. Team Roster maximum limit is 10 players.

Independent players will be placed on teams as roster space allows.  No spots are guaranteed to those who register after the registration deadline.
