Coach A Team

NO COACHES, NO CLUB. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

East Hampton Soccer Club would not be possible without our volunteer coaches, so we’d like to thank you in advance for even considering to volunteer your time. We very much appreciate it!

Coaching is one of the most rewarding experiences available. Seeing the development of children, both in soccer and in life, and knowing that you directly had an impact on those children, is fulfilling and rewarding!

East Hampton Soccer Club provides an opportunity for children to play soccer in a community-based environment that strives to promote personal and athletic development while learning valuable life skills. Using soccer as a vehicle, the club strives to develop each child's self-image, respect, talent, and sportsmanship, while having fun playing the game of soccer.

Are there any coaching requirements for coaching with EHSC?

Coaching requirements vary by division. Please see below:

  • Rec League: At this time, there are no coaching requirements to become a Rec League coach. However, it is recommended that all coaches have a basic understanding of the game. If you plan to continue on as a coach with the Club, you may want to consider the free introductory course and then progress to the 4v4 (online) and 7v7 (online), which the Club will reimburse you for.
  • U9 – U11 Travel: Coaches are required to obtain the F License or G License, which is an online course that should take about 2 hours to complete. The Club will reimburse coaches for the cost of the course, upon receipt of course completion documentation.
  • U12+ Travel: Coaches are required to obtain the E License, which is an 18-hour course, typically held over one weekend. Additionally, all coaches will be required to attend a refresher training course every other year after having completed the E license. The Club will reimburse coaches for the cost of the course and refresher courses, upon receipt of course completion documentation.
