How do I register to coach?
You will register as a coach via the same registration link you use to register your child(ren).
Once you log in, click the button on the left-hand side that says "Volunteer." Then on the right-hand side, click the button that says "Find Volunteer Roles". View the available divisions by clicking the "View Divisions" button. Select a role, then click the icon above "Sign up a registered user". Click your name and then click the "Continue" button. Then complete all of the required fields on the proceeding forms in order to register.
Follow the instructions in the post-registration e-mail regarding the background check, SafeSport training, and CDC Concussion training.
Please Note: A background check must be completed by all coaches.
Are there any training requirements for coaching with EHSC?
Training requirements vary by division. Please see below:
- Rec League: At this time, there are no training requirements to become a Rec League coach. However, it is recommended that all coaches have a basic understanding of the game. If you plan to continue on as a coach with the Club, you may want to consider the free introductory course and then progress to the 4v4 (online) and 7v7 (online), which the Club will reimburse you for.
- U9 – U11 Travel: Coaches are required to obtain the F License or G License, which is an online course that should take about 2 hours to complete. The Club will reimburse coaches for the cost of the course, upon receipt of course completion documentation.
- U12+ Travel: Coaches are required to obtain the E License, which is an 18-hour course, typically held over one weekend. Additionally, all coaches will be required to attend a refresher training course every other year after having completed the E license. The Club will reimburse coaches for the cost of the course and refresher courses, upon receipt of course completion documentation.
