Developmental Academy League (DAL) 2026

The Developmental Academy League offers a fun, non-competitive soccer program focused on building fundamental skills for players in Pre-K through 4th grade. The 6-week instructional season runs from April 11th to May 16th, with an emphasis on enjoyment and skill development.

Program Details:
  • Location: Myricks Field (284 Myricks St., East Taunton)
  • Schedule: Saturdays (April 11th - May 16th)
  • Cost: $100 per child (includes a program t-shirt) 

Playing Times by Age Group:
  • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade: 9:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • Refund Policy: Please be aware that TYS maintains a strict no-refund policy once a registration has been processed.
  • Team Assignment (No-Request Policy): This is a "No Request" league. To ensure fairness, we do not accept requests for specific coaches, teammates, or teams. This rule applies to both parents and coaches. The only exception is for siblings who are playing in the same age group.
  • Codes of Conduct: All participants, parents, and coaches are responsible for reading and following the Taunton Youth Soccer Code of Conduct and the Mass Youth Soccer Code of Conduct.

TYS 2026 Spring Travel

Spring Travel is a competitive, grade-based soccer program for players in 1st–12th grade who already have soccer experience and are looking to develop their skills while representing Taunton during the travel season.

Program Overview:

  • Indoor Practices: Begin right after February vacation. Grade-specific schedules will be announced the week of February 3rd. Indoor sessions are held on Saturdays (typically at E. Pole School, subject to change) until outdoor practices begin.
  • Outdoor Practices: Start in late March. Teams will have 1–2 mandatory practices per week, with days/times set by individual coaches.
  • Games: All travel games are on Saturdays, with teams competing across Southeastern Massachusetts. Some games may be scheduled on Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket.

Tryouts:
  • Date: Monday, October 6th 5:45-7 for 1st through 8th grade
  • Friday, October 10th 6:45-7:45 9th through 12th grade
  • Location: Myricks Complex, 284 Myricks Street, East Taunton
  • Details: Attendance is mandatory. If you need an excused absence, please email [email protected] in advance.

Registration Requirements:
  • A recent passport-style headshot (no hats, no sunglasses) is required for all players.
  • A birth certificate is required for all players.

League Policies:
  • This is a NO REQUEST league — coach, player, and team requests are not permitted (sibling exceptions apply if in the same age group).
  • No refunds will be issued.
  • Families are responsible for reviewing and following the Taunton Youth Soccer (TYS) and Mass Youth Soccer Code of Conduct, available on the TYS website.
