About In-Town

The Lewisboro In-Town Baseball Program is our spring recreational league.   In this league, we focus on skills development, teaching good sportsmanship, and fostering love of the game.  This league is fun and casual. Our players form fond memories and lasting friendships.

This program accepts all interested players (boys and girls) residing in the Town of Lewisboro.  There are no tryouts. But prior to the start of the season, we hold player evaluations. The goal of such evaluations is to help the LBA and coaches to create balanced teams and foster competitive play. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.

Opening Day is typically in mid-April, and the season wraps up with playoffs in early June before the schools let out. Practices are held 1x per week and games 2x per week (weather permitting). We do our best to reschedule any rain outs and ensure each team plays 10+ games.

Players are assigned to one of three divisions based upon their school grade:

 DivisionGradesDescription
A (Beginners)1-2 A step up from tee ball. Coaches pitch to their own players. Standings / scoring not kept.
AA (Minors) 3-4 Start of kid pitch. Limited base stealing and other elements introduced.  Scores / standings tracked
AAA (Majors) 5-6 Balks, leads, pick off attempts, full base stealing. As the name suggests, this is the Majors!
