Lewisboro Team Wins AA Championship

After falling behind 2-0, the Lewisboro Yellow Jackets rallied for a come-from-behind victory. On a picture perfect, sunny and 75 degree afternoon, the Bedford Pound Ridge (BPR) Cubs faced off against the top-seeded Yellow Jackets. The Cubs held the lead until the bottom of the 3rd inning, when the Yellow Jackets loaded the bases and walked in two runs to tie. After that, it was all Yellow Jackets, as the boys from Lewisboro added five more runs in the fourth inning. Gavin Whalen, Mac Sullivan, and Theo Marinos teamed up to pitch 1-hit, 2-run game.

Kudos to the BPR baseball league for organizing a fun Championship Day at Bedford Regional Park, which features a home run derby, baserunning challenges, a pitching speed test, and food tents.
