Athlete Placement
• Cheerleaders are placed in a cheer division based on age and the following:
• Siblings of GHSA football players will be given first priority to their sibling’s team.
• Cheer siblings will be assigned to the same squad.
• Friend requests are welcome, but are not always fulfilled. We will do our best to accommodate the request, but there are no guarantees.
• Squads will consist of mixed ages due to the fact that we place siblings together on squads and with sibling’s football team.
Competition Squads
There will be an additional registration fee required to participate in our competition season and an additional code of conduct form will need to be signed. You can register for competition squad at the same time you register for a sideline squad. All cheerleaders will have the opportunity to participate in cheer competition.
All cheerleaders must compete in their own age divisions regardless of their regular season sideline squad they are assigned to (some cheerleaders are out of age brackets so they can cheer for their sibling’s football team).
• Items listed under sideline cheer
• Additional practice t-shirt
Game Information
Cheerleaders should come to every game in FULL UNIFORM.
If the cheerleader does not come in full uniform, they will not be able to take the field. This includes hair pulled up and out of the face, uniform, shoes, bow, etc.
Once your cheerleader is dropped off with their coach, please do not come get the child or remove the child from the field without the knowledge of the cheer coach. Cheer coaches need to know where every child on the squad is at all times.
Coaches:
We always need coaches and training will be provided this year through TNYFL. Please fill out an application as soon as possible as there will be valuable training such as first aid, etc. early in the season. If you would like to spend some time with your daughter and have lots of fun, contact Laura Beth, Cheer Director.
