Player Criteria:
All players must register through the DAVIDSON COUNTY FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE website at www.dcffl.org.
Players must be completely registered for the season they are participating in which includes full payment, release of liability form, DCFFL Code of Conduct and social media/photo waiver prior to
opening day.
The age cutoff date for all players is August 1.
Example: Child that turns 9 on July 31st must play in the 10U division. (9 and 10 years old) Child that
turns 9 on August 2nd may still qualify for 8U because they were at 8 years at the time of cutoff.
Age verification:
All players are registered with DAVIDSON COUNTY FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE using our partner USA Football which
provides our athletes a free membership and added coverage while playing. This is built in to our websites registration and confirms the birthdate of all players.
At anytime a players birth certificate may be requested in order to validate their age. If a team is found
to be playing with a player that is over the allowed age limit that team will forfeit all games that player participated in.
Age Divisions are: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U (16U is Spring season only)
A player may only play on one team per age division and may play in as many as two age divisions. Please
get with league ownership on how to register for additional age division and the pricing included. Players may only move up in age, they may not play down in age.
Example: a player that is 8 could play in the 7-8 division and also play up in the 9-10 division.
No players are allowed to be added or switched on any particular team once the rosters have been set
without the approval from the league commissioner. Any unauthorized changes may result in player disqualification.
If a player is found playing on a team illegally, the coach and illegal player may be suspended/removed
from the league.
Once the team rosters have been distributed to the team coaches, if a player is a "no show" or unable to
commit to playing the season, we ask that the parent/guardian and or coach communicate any roster changes to league officials.
