2021 Battle at the Bridge Youth Flag Football Tournament

Are you ready for some football? The Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting it's inaugural Battle at The Bridge Youth Flag Football Tournament at Long Bridge Park over the June 26th & 27th weekend.

This is an Open Tournament available to any teams in the 8 year old and under- 18 years old and under age group.

Age groups based on players age between August 2nd, 2020 and August 1st, 2021 (Per NFL FLAG Rules)

The Battle at The Bridge is for Arlington residents and non-residents.

We hope you join us for a day of fun, sun, and football!

Dates and Times

Saturday June 26
Coed 8U-14U
Girls 8U-10U

Sunday June 27
Coed 16U-18U
Girls 12U-18U

Check-In: 8 AM
Games start: 9 AM
Championships: 3-6 PM

Registration

The registration fee is $200.00 per team. Rosters are limited to 12 players per team

The following divisions will be offered for both coed and girls: 8U, 10U. 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U.

Limited Capacity: Each division will feature 8 teams.

Tournament Format

3 Game Round Robin + Single-Elimination Tournament Bracket (Guaranteed 4 games)

All teams qualify for bracket play.

Age groups based on players age between August 2nd, 2020 and August 1st, 2021 (Per NFL FLAG Rules)
8U, 10U, and COED 12U and 14U Play on Saturday June 26
18U, 16U, and GIRLS 12U and 14U Play on Sunday June 27

Games are 24-minutes in length, running clock.
Teams play 5v5

Champions will receive a team trophy and individual trophies.
Every Participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Equipment Information

Footballs will be provided; personal footballs are prohibited for game use.
NFL youth blue footballs (Wilson Pee Wee/K2) will be used for divisions 8U & 10U.
NFL youth brown footballs (Wilson Junior/TDY) will be used for divisions 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U.
Mouth guards are required.
Cleats are optional (metal cleats are prohibited).

Amenities

Hydration Stations will be located throughout the site for participants and patrons.

Sanitation stations will be located at each field.

Parking on-Site

Restrooms and Water Fountains Open

Playground and Sprayground at Park for added family fun!

Food Trucks will be on site in the parking lot for guests who wish to purchase food and beverages.

Arlington County can provide upon request reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. Two weeks advance notice is preferred. Question on access and inclusion should be directed to the Therapeutic Recreation Office at 703-228-4740.
