TRAVEL SOCCER TRYOUTS - MAY 2022

KEY REMINDERS FOR TRYOUTS:

Players

1. Players should wear their regular practice attire WITHOUT their New Canaan FC Pinney. They will be given a tryout pinney upon arrival for identification purposes.

2. All players should have appropriate soccer gear, which includes cleats, shin guards, soccer ball and water bottle.

Parents

1. All families are REQUIRED to have one parent attend the pre-tryout meeting at the start or end of your players tryout as identified below

2. Parents are NOT permitted to stay and watch or be near the fields, following the meeting, during the tryout process.

Coaches

1. Player evaluations will be conducted by both Age Group and non-affiliated New Canaan FC Coaches.

2. New Canaan FC Coaches utilize virtual software on their phones to complete player assessments & grading.

Fall 2022 Travel Tryout Information

 Each spring season New Canaan FC holds tryouts to form teams to play in the SWD.  ALL players must try out or be evaluated to be selected for a New Canaan FC Travel Team. Selected players will then be expected to commit to the travel team for the following 12-month period and adhere to the New Canaan FC Mission Statement, Guidelines and Travel Team Policies.

Travel Soccer Program Information

• Seasons – Fall 2022 & Spring 2023

• Season Dates – August to November & March to June

• Travel Program Inclusions:

•   Two mandatory practices per week

•         One SWD game per week

•         Optional add-on Technical Clinic

•         Optional add-on House League game

•         Seasonal Tournament Play

•         Fall CT Cup game option for U11s and above

• Tryouts - No fee

• Roster Acceptance - $200

• Payment 1 on August 28th - $695

• Payment 1 on November 28th - $495

• Fall & Spring Total Cost - $1390

• Spring Opt Out Date – December 9th

• Monday, May 9 to Thursday, May 12 - Tryout Week (2013's and older)

• Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20th - Tryout Rain Dates (2013's and older)

• Thursday, May 26 and Thursday, June 2nd - Tryout Dates (2014's)
