Baseball Division Information - Regular Season

Here's some basic info on each division in the baseball program. All ages are listed as Little League International league age.

Little Tykes
• Instructional division for boys and girls age 4
• Hitting off a tee, no thrown pitches, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used 

Tee ball
• Instructional division for boys and girls ages 5
• Hitting off a tee, no thrown pitches, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used 

Rookie League
• Instructional division for boys and girls ages 6
• Hitting off a tee, no thrown pitches, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used 

A Ball
• Instructional division for boys and girls league ages 7
• Introducing thrown pitches by coach or coach-operated machine

AA Ball
• Instructional division for boys and girls league age 8
• Introducing player pitching, outs and runs are recorded
• 1 or 2, 60-minute field practices per week
• 1 to 2 games each week, with at least 1 weekday and 1 weekend game

AAA Ball 
• For boys and girls league age 9-11. 
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 1 or 2, 90-minute field practices per week. There may be fewer or more practice sessions held throughout the season at your manager’s discretion.
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends
*NOTE* Only players considered league age 9 can register for the AAA Division. Players considered league age 10 or 11 will register for Majors, and then select the option to tryout for AAA Only during registration. Doing so filters the player back down to the AAA Division.

Majors 
*PLAYERS WILL ONLY BE ELIGIBLE FOR MAJOR LEAGUE DRAFT IF THEY ATTENDED A TRYOUT IN THE FALL. OTHERS WILL BE DRAFTED TO A AAA TEAM*
• For boys and girls league age 10-12
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends
*NOTE* Any player considered league age 10-12 must register for Majors and cannot register for AAA. If a 10 or 11 year-old player wishes to remain in AAA, that player should register for the Majors Division and then indicate the desire to stay in AAA by selecting the AAA Only option during registration.

50-70 Intermediate Division
• For boys and girls league age 13. ALL players considered league-age 13 will register for the 50/70 Intermediate Division. Players considered league age 13 who tryout for and are accepted to the Middle School team will have the option of playing in the Senior League (pending space). All league age 13 players who are not selected for the Middle School team MUST play Intermediate 50/70.
• Score and standings are kept, and a league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 1 to 3 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within District 8.

14U Select Middle School
• For boys and girls league age 13-14. Teams are selected by the coach after an individual player assessment.
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within our district.
*NOTE* In order to be eligible to play on the Middle School team, a player must ALSO be registered to play on a 50/70 or Senior League team.

Senior League
• For boys and girls league age 14-16. Teams are formed by draft after an individual player assessment.
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within our district.
