Here's some basic info on each division in the baseball program. All ages are listed as Little League International league age. For baseball, league age is determined by the player's age on August 31.
Little Tykes• Instructional division for boys and girls age 4
• Hitting off a tee, no thrown pitches, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used
Tee ball• Instructional division for boys and girls ages 5
• Hitting off a tee, no thrown pitches, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used
Rookie League• Instructional division for boys and girls ages 6
• Coach pitch, everyone gets a chance to hit each inning (no outs are recorded), "softer" balls are used
A Ball• Instructional division for boys and girls league ages 7
• Introducing thrown pitches by coach or coach-operated machine
AA Ball• Instructional division for boys and girls league age 8
• Introducing player pitching, outs and runs are recorded
• 1 or 2, 60-minute field practices per week
• 1 to 3 games each week, with at least 1 weekday and 1 weekend game
AAA Ball • For boys and girls league age 9-11.
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 1 or 2, 90-minute field practices per week. There may be fewer or more practice sessions held throughout the season at your manager’s discretion.
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends
Majors • For boys and girls league age 10-12
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends
50-70 Division• For boys and girls league age 13.
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within District 8.
Middle School• For boys and girls league age 13-14. Teams are formed by draft after an individual player assessment.
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within our district.
Senior League• For boys and girls league age 14-16. Teams are formed by draft after an individual player assessment.
*Depending on roster availability and player ability, select 13 year-olds may be eligible to play in the Senior League
• Score and standings are kept, and a double elimination league tournament is held at the end of the season.
• 2 or 3, 90-minute field practices per week
• 2 to 3 games per week, with games during the week and weekends. Some games will be against teams from neighboring leagues within our district.
