Capital Improvements Plan

CFABA has been working tirelessly over the past two years to improve the league including coaching education, clear expectations for players and parents, improvements in umpire supervision and education, and a brand-new partnership with the City of Cuyahoga Falls to make Kennedy Park the official home of CFABA.

But our work is not done. We collectively understand the need to upgrade our facilities, we have listened to feedback from parents, players, and coaches, and have spent the past year visiting other communities to explore options that would best fit in upgrading our facilities.

The CFABA Capital Improvement Plan includes the following:
1. New playing surfaces on Kennedy 1 - 4 as well as Waterworks 3 - Kennedy 3 and 4 Complete
2. New dugouts at Kennedy 1 - 4 as well as Waterworks 3
3. Seasonal Batting Tunnels at the Kennedy Baseball Complex
4. Addition of a T-Ball only field at the Kennedy Baseball Complex

The CFABA board of directors has been seeking funding opportunities from various sources. These sources include large and small donors, grants, and fundraisers.

We ask that you consider joining us in this project. Let us know if you can donate time, funds, or materials.

Completed Projects

Resurfacing and Expansion of Kennedy 3

Prior to the 2022 Season, Kennedy 3 was expanded and resurfaced to serve all leagues up to 12U. Ten to 20 additional feet of field were created and new dirt was placed prior to the start of the season.

Resurfacing of Kennedy 4

Late in the 2021 season, CFABA purchased new playing surface material for Kennedy 4. The city parks and recreation department cleared the old dirt and laid the new surface. New surfaces should create a safer field, allow for accurate placement of Hollywood plugs for bases and assist with drainage.

Phase 1 - Removal and grading by our partners in parks and recreation

Phase 2 - New Surface
