Connecticut State Referee Program Continuing Education Series - Introduction
Connecticut State Referee Program Continuing Education Series - Referee / Coach Relationship
Please see the below update from the Connecticut State Referee Program on 1/12/2021
Becoming a referee 8/28/21
Assignors
It is very important for clubs to use a US Soccer certified assignor for assigning referees to US Soccer sanctioned matches. To find out if your club assignor is certified, please go to www.ctreferee.net/resources/assigning. From there, please click on “current year list of registered assignors” which will provide a list through 2021. If your assignor’s name isn’t listed, go back and click “last year list of state registered assignors”. That will show 2020 assignors, who will need to recertify for 2021.
If the assignor is not listed in either of these databases, s/he is not certified and is in violation of US Soccer policy. Furthermore, the assignor is unable to use the CSRP Central Assign system, and does not have access to the full list of available referees.
Recertification is open through the end of March. New assignors must create a profile in CSRP, complete online training and attend a virtual in person class, contact [email protected] for instructions. The next required virtual in person session is on January 30, 2021.
Referees
Those wishing to become a referee can go to new referee information to begin the process. The process involves online classes are through the US Soccer Learning Center, and a virtual ‘in person’ session with a CSRP instructor. The minimum age to become a referee is 13 years old at registration. We also need adult referees. Help us to help you get all games covered.
If you have any questions, please visit www.ctreferee.net or email [email protected].
