Traveling to Nantucket via Ferry for Soccer

There are two fast ferry services to get to Nantucket - the Hy-Line & Steamship  Authority (about a 1-hour ride). This is the only way to get to/from Nantucket for games unless you take the slow boat - which will take much more time. We encourage all teams/attendees to travel via fast ferry. Our games are scheduled around the boat schedules. The Steamship Authority & Hy-line provide affordable rates - which is only available to players, coaches, and Team Managers. Please book reservations well in advance - especially on weekends! 

In order to obtain the team rate, please contact the group sales coordinators at either office (Hy-line or Steamship Authority). Round-trip/same-day/same boat is the only way for the discount to work! This is per team, not per league. We encourage parents to make their reservations ONCE the team reservation has been made. Coaches or Team  Managers will update the team with the boat/time they have selected.  

The Nantucket Soccer Club will provide transportation to and from the boat/fields for players and coaches. Please note that our regional transit authority also provides free year-round busing around the island. The schedule and stops can be found at Nantucket  Regional Transit Authority 

Once you have made your ferry reservations please reach out to the coach and provide the following information: 

• Departure time and ferry from Hyannis 

•  Departure time and ferry from Nantucket 

• Number of players and coaches

Hy-line Cruises boat information for Parents booking: 
Parents and siblings traveling with the team can travel at a reduced rate and make their own reservations by calling 800-492-8082 or  508-778-2600. 
You must wait for the team to make a reservation and identify the team you are traveling with to receive the reduced rate (rates shown below). 

Hy-line Rates: 
$54 round trip for parents ($1 fuel surcharge for each way, which everyone pays). 
$36.50 round trip for siblings (ages 5-12; under 5 free--children  traveling free still need a reservation) 

Steamship Authority

You must identify the team you are traveling with to receive the reduced rates shown below. For travel on the Steamship, a minimum of 10 paying passengers is required to receive the group rate; otherwise, a full fare rate will apply. 

$52 round trip for parents 
$27.50 for siblings (ages 5-12; under 5 free--children traveling free still  need reservation) 

Parking

Parking is available near both ferries. For the Hyline use the address 220  Ocean Street Hyannis, MA for directions and park either with the Hy-Line or at the private lots across the street. Parking ranges from $12-$20  per calendar day and is a short walk from the lot. 

The Steamship parking in Hyannis with shuttle is located at 75 Yarmouth  Road, Hyannis. There are also private lots all around the Steamship  Terminal. Parking costs are $12-$20 per day.
