Description of Programs

The Nantucket Soccer Club runs programming throughout the year.

Development is run in the spring and fall for our younger athletes who are not ready to travel.

Spring and Fall there is travel soccer for grades 2 and up.

Our 12-month programming calendar touches on many different aspects of the game of soccer. From recreational to competitive travel, summer camps, clinics, and indoor programming including futsal, and referee development. We are sure you will find your niche with NSC!

Spring 2025 Travel Soccer

The spring travel program is available to all students in Grades 2-12. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1ST.

If you register after December 1st you will incur a $50 late registration fee.

Our league (South Coast Soccer League) follows a grade-based team placement to register you MUST have a passport or birth certificate uploaded so the league can confirm birth date and a head shot (no hats or sunglasses). If you do not upload the correct information per our league rules your child will not be able to play.

Our league (SCSL) offers D1 and D2 teams for grades 4 and up. Your child will be placed on a team that is best for their development.

Each team will have approximately 8 games per season, half are at home and half are away. Depending on your team, practices are held 2-3 times a week. Our coaches are volunteers and because of that, we try to accommodate their busy schedules therefore practice times vary from team to team. Spring Soccer has playoffs (MTOC) for grades 4 and up if the team qualifies. A jamboree is offered at the end of the season for grades 2 & 3.

If we can get enough players to field a full team for each grade level that is ideal. There have been some instances where we must combine two grades because of low numbers. Below are the field sizes appropriate for each grade.

Grades 3 & 4 play 7v7

Grades 5 & 6 play 9v9

Grades 7& up Play 11 v 11

PG program is for grades 9-12

The cost of the program is $450 and covers all travel fees (boat and off-island transportation), league fees, and referee fees. The uniform is not included, upon acceptance to your team you will be sent a uniform link to purchase uniforms via Soccer.com. The kit currently costs about $100 and includes a home and away jersey, shorts and socks (all additional items are not required).

We offer financial aid to families to help cover partial and full costs of the travel program. To apply please send an email to [email protected] with that request and it will be reviewed by the NSC executive board.

There is a payment plan option for registration.

Parent volunteerism is relied upon at every level of organization and NSC relies on parents to not only help coach, assistant coach and manage teams but also shuttle visiting teams to and from the boats on game days. Some teams have had trouble getting parent participation in the past to avoid this for the spring we will be charging a $50 non-volunteer fee, to avoid this fee please sign up for one of the volunteer options during registration (which includes transporting visiting teams to the fields).
