Welcome to the 2024-25 Fall/Winter Little Pal Basketball Website
We will be offering programs for Boys and Girls from ages 6 through 14 years old. *(If your child is 14 years old and in High School, they are not eligible to play.)* We will have multiple divisions depending on actual registrations. We will have an instructional league for 6 years old through 8 years old. We will have a Junior Division for Boys and Girls that are 9 and 10 years old and a Senior Boys and a Senior Girls division for ages 11 through 14 provided they are not in High School. If you feel your child should play up based on ability, please contact me and we can transfer to older program.
You do not need to be a YMCA member or a Naugatuck resident to register
**There will be evaluations for the Junior and Senior Divisions, everyone must attend evaluations for team placement. Evaluations will be in mid-November, schedule of times and days for each division will be emailed to everyone signed up.**
Senior Girl's Games will take place on Thursday Nights, Senior Boy's games will take place on Saturday mornings at City Hill Middle School, Junior Boy's Games will take place on Wednesday nights at Hillside Elementary School and the Instructional 6 yr old to 8 yr old games will take place on Saturday mornings at the Naugatuck YMCA. **(Days and Times are subject to change)**
COST
**Instructional League will cost $155 with 6 month YMCA MEMBERSHIP and SHORTS ($120 without membership)**
**Junior/Senior Leagues will cost $185 with 6 month YMCA MEMBERSHIP and SHORTS ($150 without membership)**
All players will have 1 practice per week starting after Thanksgiving and 1 game per week with the season ending by the end of March (Weather Permitting). All players will receive a team jersey and shorts to keep, we will have a season end picnic for all players to attend, we will hand out awards for 1st and 2nd place in each of the Junior and Senior Divisions and we will have other year end awards. Medals will be given out to all instructional league players as well as having an All-Star game for the older players moving up to the Junior Division next season. The picnic will be held on April 5th at City Hill Middle School. Tickets for lunch for players will be $5 and tickets for all other guests will be $15 for lunch. You do not need to purchase a ticket to attend, but you will not be able to eat lunch without a prepaid ticket. **All players attending MUST be accompanied by an Adult.**
The YMCA membership will begin 12/1/2024 and end 5/31/2025, any participant who has a single youth membership currently will not be charged during these months and any family with a family membership will be charged $15 less per month per child for the 6 months (12/1/2024 through 5/31/2025).
