Orlando CYS is Developing Tomorrow's Bishop Moore Hornets Today

Welcome to Catholic Youth Sports!

Catholic Youth Sports is dedicated to the development of youth sports throughout Central Florida Catholic Schools. CYS's vision is to develop players in mind, body, and soul to help them grow as individuals, both physically and spiritually. Through proper instruction, training, and encouragement, players are taught to be lifelong champions, both on and off the field of play.

Many of the board members, directors, coordinators, coaches and team parents give freely of their time, talent and treasure to provide a FUN and nurturing Christian environment for the children.

CYS activities are some of the most scrutinized activities your children participate in on a daily basis. All coaches have been cleared through the Diocese FBI finger printing process and must attend the Safe Environment Training along with Play Like a Champion Today coach workshop.  No other league in Central Florida requires this high scrutiny.  We have always been proactive in ensuring the safety of our children.

Parents are encouraged to be involved with CYS as spectators and volunteers. Parents, coaches, players and spectators are required to uphold the League Code of Conduct and attend a Parent Like a Champion workshop.

Quick facts about the league:
Established in 1991 with 250 student-athletes.  Today, it services over 5,000 student-athletes each year in five Central Florida Diocese of Orlando Counties.

Competitive programs at the middle school level include basketball, soccer, track, volleyball,  and flag football. Developmental/recreational sports offered at the grade school level include track, flag football, basketball and soccer.

CYS coaches undergo a FBI background check and Safe Environment Training. All CYS coaches are required to attend a Play Like a Champion Today Educational Series workshop.

Effective 2022, the Parent Like a Champion Today workshop will be mandatory for a family who wants their child taking part in Catholic school sports. Starting in the Fall of 2022, no player will be placed on a team roster until the player's parent/guardian attends the online workshop. This workshop is not offered in the Summer so you are encouraged to attend this workshop by May 2022 in order to be placed on a roster for sports starting August 2022.

Please use the link below to register for this mandatory virtual workshop if you haven't already done so.

The Parent Like a Champion Workshop Use the passcode OrlandoParent to waive the workshop fee.

Once you attend this workshop, CYS will be notified of your attendance and it will be noted on your account so your child can be placed on a roster. This is only required every three years, so once you attend, you will not have to attend again for 3 years.

Please be sure to register your child during the scheduled registration period as CYS does not accept late registrations. There are no exceptions to this rule. Please refer to the Sports Schedule to confirm registration open and close dates for the sports you want your child to participate in.
