Hello Families,

 

The Grand Island Little League board has been working hard with the Parks Department, The High School Athletic Department and the Ralph Wilson Niagara Community Center to develop a "Plan B" for getting our Little League season off the ground.  The weather and rain have been unrelenting to the fields at Veterans Park.  And although the Parks Department is doing everything they can to get everything running, there is simply too much work still to be done for our May 4th Opening Day.

 

On a positive note, the Grand Island High School and the Ralph Wilson Niagara Community Center have agreed to rent out their facilities on Saturday May 4th, in order that we can get our season started!  Your coaches will be receiving new schedules today. 

Our younger groups (T-Ball and Pee Wee) will have times at the Ralph Wilson Center in which the coaches will sign up for a practice time and communicate that to you, and the older groups (International, Minors & Majors) will have times at the High School fields. These were scheduled from the original, just moved locations. For the JVA, your coach will pick a time Thursday, Friday or Saturday with the open timeframes of availability for the Ralph and create the event in GameChanger for you for what they choose.
Higher levels will be changed by the league in the system.

TBall and PeeWee will be at the Ralph Wilson Community Center, located at 530 66th St, Niagara Falls, NY 14304

International Baseball and Softball will play on the Dirt Softball field and will park by the Middle School.
Minors/Majors Baseball & Softball will play on the TURF Baseball and Softball Fields and park in the main athletic field lot.

By parking this way, we have the best chance for success to all the field locations and to move in and out on the day.

There is NO eating on the turf, colored drinks and no seeds.  We ask the community to please follow this so that we can be able to use this again if necessary in the future or next week.

(Please note if does not show on the email for your phone please try a computer device). We will add a picture map to the Facebook and our website to help guide you as well.
