On 5/14, an unthinkable moment happened in our Western New York community. The actions of one person shattered the lives of not only 10 families, but a community. There are many members of our Grand Island community that have or may know someone who was directly affected by this tragedy. In support of our community and all our families we promote being strong men, women, boys, and girls for others. As the Bills and Sabres shirts said it best, "Choose Love."

Today, as we go amongst a beautiful day at the ballpark, smile, great each other, be great neighbors as always.

Also Today, The Grand Island Little Board is announcing the creation of our Better Together Initiative Project to be 716 Strong. We will always choose to be there for each other in our community on the Island and in Western New York. Starting this Monday, the board will have 3 straight weeks to give back to the community in different ways.

OUR EVENTS:

1) *Monday 5/23 thru Thursday 5/26: A Canned food and non-perishable food drive to FeedMore WNY:

**Boxes will be available to put all donations, they will be clearly marked. We ask you to please not use them for garbage purposes. As the old totes are now gone.

2) *Tuesday 5/31 thru Saturday 6/4 Autographed Buffalo Bills Jersey Raffle.
**ALL proceeds will go to Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund

***The board will be donating an autographed Bills jersey, so get your raffle tickets at the snack stand all week. This will be an all week raffle. The winner will be announced 1pm on Saturday using our Facebook page and Website.

3) Saturday June 11th, 3rd Annual Strike Out Cancer Day at the Ballpark. More details to come as our main focus for this message is the events of 5/14.

We are one Grand Island Community, One Buffalo, One 716 Strong. Let us prove once again why our Little League is one of the best in Western New York the next few weeks!

Thank you to all of those who helped in the 5/14 events, especially our First Responders.

We will get through moments like this because we have each other.
