WDLL Fall Ball is designed to be a more casual baseball/softball experience which focuses on preparing players for the following Spring season. Fall Coaches will focus on fundamentals and will work with players in-game to ensure that they are learning the necessary skills for advancement.

Can my child move up in the fall and play the division where they will be age appropriate for the following Spring?
In most cases, yes! Fall Ball is the perfect time to advance to a higher division in preparation for Spring play. We ask that parents register first in their age appropriate division and then contact the league at [email protected] to let us know your desire to move up. The only reason we would decline is if a league official does not believe your child is ready to advance safely. 

Do you coordinate schedules with other sports in town?
We do the best we can to avoid having games and practices on the weekend mornings where other Fall sports are popular, however towards the end of the fall season with the temperatures dropping and sun going down earlier, it might be inevitable to have some conflicts. 

What ages can play?
We offer baseball/softball for all ages from Tee Ball through Juniors. Typically, however, most of the teams have been in the Coach Pitch and Minors Divisions.

Will we have to travel?
Depending on the number of teams registered, travel is likely in the Fall. Most travel will be within neighboring towns in the District and no more than 15 minutes from home.

Where/when do we play?
Fall Ball games are typically played during week night evenings at one of the fields that has lights available. Practices will be at the discretion of the coaches and which fields are available. We will also utilize West Deptford's indoor player development building throughout the fall. 

What is the cost and will we be refunded if there are not enough players for a division?
Fall Ball costs are reduced to the bare minimum as a way of simply keeping kids engaged in baseball/softball. All costs go directly towards uniforms and umpires for the specific division. Should we open registration for a division and not enough kids sign up OR there be a scenario where a season must otherwise be cancelled, full refunds will be provided.
