NEP Spring 2025 Baseball & Softball

2025 Spring Season Things to Remember

-Online Registration is open 11/22/2024 - 12/15/2024 for early bird registration.

-Regular registration is open from 12/16/2024-2/2/2025

-Late registration is open from 2/3/2025-2/5/2025

-Draft dates for Baseball - 2/8/2025

-Draft dates for Softball - 2/9/2025

-Practices will start after draft (usually 2-3 a week varying on field availability and coaches discretion)

-Opening day will be 3/8/2025

-The season will run 3/8/2025-5/22/2025

-Allstar selections will be on 5/26/25 for Baseball and 5/17/25 for Softball

Things to Remember:

Wee ball (Ages 3-4; we recommend that if your child has not played before it is best to have them play wee ball first)
4 year olds can only play tball if they are frozen to a team
No weekend games.
Game start times will vary depending on league but can vary between 5:30 and 7:30
Practice schedules and game schedules are unknown until we know how many teams/players/coaches are in each division
Each child will be responsible for selling (10) $5.00 raffle tickets, tickets will be given out by the head coach and are due back to the head coach by 3/3/2025

What's next?

Once teams are assigned, coaches will contact you (usually about 1 week before practices start)

Registration fees do not include the cost of the uniform. Uniform costs are at the Coach's discretion, typically $50 - $100.

The fees paid for registration go to paying for:

Electric bill (those lights are expensive, especially when they get left on all night)

Umpires

Grounds crew

Park upgrades

Facility cleanliness (restrooms, trash pickup)

All supplies used to maintain the ball fields, (tractors used to drag the fields, chalk and paint, clay, etc.)

Dumpster pick up

Water & sewer usage

Maintenance of soft toss areas and batting cages (netting, etc.)
