NEP’s frequently asked questions 

1. Do you provide uniforms?
No, each team will meet with their coach and team mom and decide on what uniforms they go with for that season. Prices can vary from team to team. 

2. Is there a sibling discount at the park?
There will be no sibling discount for our Fall 2025 season.

3. How do I sign up to coach a team?
Simply sign yourself up when you register your child on our website.

4. What is the fundraising requirements for the park?
There is no requirement for the fall season. 

5. What sports do you offer at NEP ballpark?
Baseball and softball.  (No football or lacrosse) 

6. What is the parks address?
555 East nine-mile road 

7. What are season dates for 2025 Fall Season?
TBD - Please like and follow our Facebook page for the most up to date registration dates as they become available.

8. How old do you need to be to play in each league?
Wee-ball – 3-4 years old
Tee-ball – 4-6 years old (If your child is 4, your child must be frozen to a team)
Coach Pitch – 7-8 years old
Minors – 9-10 years old
Majors – 11-12 years old
Juniors – 13-15 years old

9. How do I know what league my child should play in?
Baseball- Whatever age your child is as of April 30, 2026 is what division your child will play in for the 2025 Fall Season and the 2026 Spring  Season.
Softball- Whatever age your child is as of September 1, 2025 is what division your child will play in for the 2025 Fall Season and the 2026 Spring  Season.

10. Does my child need equipment to play?
Yes, NEP does not provide equipment.  At a minimum, your child will need a helmet, glove, cleats and preferably a bat. Softball requires a defensive facemasks.

11. When are practices and games?
Our NEP league commissioners will set up as many practices at the park as he or she can.  Coaches could also have more practices at other fields but plan on 2-3 practices a week prior to the season. Times can vary depending on field availability (you can expect to practice anywhere from 5-8pm)

Baseball- Games are played Monday-Friday (and possibility of some weekend tournaments)
During the fall season we do our best to avoid Fridays if possible.
 Softball- Games are played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
*All softball teams will travel to other parks to play games as well.*
