Choose The Wake FC Way

USL League Two

USL League Two, formerly the Premier Development League, is the proven development leader in North American amateur soccer. The league contains more than 70 teams from around the U.S. and Canada, split into regional divisions.

Consisting of 14 regular season matches played over the summer, the schedule offers elite collegiate players the opportunity to showcase and develop their skills against a high level of competition without disrupting their NCAA eligibility. More than 70 percent of all MLS SuperDraft selections since 2010 have featured experience in the PDL/USL2.

Wake FC began its inaugural season in USL League Two in 2019. This year, Wake FC will compete against other clubs in the South Atlantic Division, with the goal of continuing to the League Two playoffs. Wake FC's USL League Two team is the final piece of the Wake FC development pathway, offering top players from around the area the chance to continue their amateur soccer careers at the U-23 level.

Wake FC Developmental Model

The Wake FC USL League Two first team and reserve team will integrate and involve Wake FC youth players throughout the summer. As the top of the Wake FC development pyramid, the USL League Two program allows select youth players to train and play alongside collegiate athletes. Additionally, USL League Two extends the Wake FC pathway by permitting Wake FC graduates currently playing college soccer to continue with the club during the off-season.
