Our Mission: The Chelmsford Cougars are committed to fostering a positive and enriching environment. We focus on personal growth, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance, all while honing cheerleading skills.
Cheer Season Overview:
- Sideline cheering at 8-10 football games.
- Perform a routine at the Merrimack Valley League and the Northeastern Massachusetts Pop Warner Conference competitions in October.
- Potential advancement to Pop Warner New England Regionals and Pop Warner Nationals in Orlando!
Team Categories and Registration:
- Age determined as of July 31.
- Non-Competitive Teams (Tiny Mites) - $300.
- Competitive Teams (Mighty Mites, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Varsity, Varsity) - $400.
Team Placements:
- Placement in August based on age and program registration numbers.
Practice Schedule:
- Mandatory 20 hours of pre-season conditioning.
- Non-Competitive Teams: Three practices per week.
- Competitive Teams: Four practices per week.
- August: Parker Middle School; September onwards: Indoor spaces.
Additional Requirements:
- White Competition Sneakers, Boy Shorts (links available on website).
- Optional: Chelmsford Cheer jackets, backpacks, and spirit wear (contact Ashley Conklin at [email protected]).
Expectations:
- Full attendance at practices and games, except for approved absences.
- Uphold values of respect, sportsmanship, and appropriate behavior.
