2026 Pre-Season Clinic Information:
We will be hosting a Spring Clinic for all ages! This clinic will be held on Thursday nights Starting April 2nd through June 18th (no practice during April vacation). This clinic will be split up by AGE based on the National Pop Warner age guide and placement suggestions. This clinic is hosted by Chelmsford Cheerleading Coaches who are SafeSport, CPR and YCADA Certified!
This clinic is open to ALL! You do not have to have cheerleading experience. If your athlete is interested in cheerleading this will be a great way to see if this works for your family.

5 & 6 year old's: 5-6:30 PM McCarthy Cafe
7 & 8 year old's: 5-6:30 PM McCarthy Gym
9 & 10 year old's: 6:30-8 PM McCarthy Cafe
11 years old: 6:30-8 PM McCarthy Small Gym
12 & 13 year old's: 6:30-8 PM McCarthy Gym

Our Mission: The Chelmsford Cougars are committed to fostering a positive and enriching environment. We focus on personal growth, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance, all while honing cheerleading skills.
Cheer Season Overview:
- Sideline cheering at 8-10 football games.
- Perform a routine at the Merrimack Valley League and the Northeastern Massachusetts Pop Warner Conference competitions in October.
- Potential advancement to Pop Warner New England Regionals and Pop Warner Nationals in North Carolina!
Team Categories and Registration:
- Age determined as of July 15.
- Non-Competitive Teams (Tiny Mites) - $350.
- Competitive Teams (Mighty Mites, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Varsity, Varsity) - $450.
- Calendar Raffle Offset: NEW IN 2026!
- At uniform fittings, each athlete will receive 15 calendars to sell at $10 each. Parents/Guardians retain proceeds to offset registration costs.
- Calendars are due at the FIRST Home Game in September.
- Calendar Raffle will run through the month of October and be posted on social media.
Team Placements:
- Team Placements for the 2026 season are based on age and program registration numbers. We place athletes where we believe they will shine and be highlighted.
Practice Schedule: Chelmsford Cheerleading will be starting EARLY this season. The following schedule will be implemented for 2026.
- Competitive Teams (Mitey Mites - Varsity) will start Wednesday July 15th.
- Tuesday's and Wednesday's 5:30-7:30 PM.
- August 3rd starts practices 4 days a week 6-8:30 PM.
- Choreography will be scheduled in August. Attendance Required.
- Non Competitive (Tiny Mites) will start August 3rd.
- Practice will be 3 days a week, Monday-Wednesday 6-7:30 PM
- Mandatory 20 hours of pre-season conditioning.
- July & August: Parker Middle School; September onwards: Indoor spaces.
Additional Requirements:
- White Competition Sneakers, Boy Shorts (links available on website).
- Optional: Chelmsford Cheer jackets, backpacks, and spirit wear (contact Ashley Conklin at [email protected]).
Expectations:
- Full attendance at practices and games, except for approved absences. This will be HEAVILY enforced this season.
- Uphold values of respect, sportsmanship, and appropriate behavior.
- Attendance Policy will be enforced come Monday August 3rd.
