The D2 administration is responsible for training, organizing and funding of 8 local little leagues within our district.  All of it's leagues consist of only volunteers.

The district is not funded by Little League International or the Southeast Regional Headquarters.  The district receives a minimal entry fee for the post season tournaments from the local leagues that are participating.  The district needs funding to help some leagues that fall short on their own local fundraising efforts.  Scholarships are provided to all players that cannot afford to pay to play.  D2 covers the cost of the baseballs, softballs, banners, and metals for the post season and All-Stars tournaments.  

In order to make each league and the district successful, all newly elected board members and appointed district staff members need intensive training at monthly district, state, and regional headquarter levels.  D2 helps with the cost of hotels, meals, and travel expenses for those volunteers.
