The D2 Administration is responsible for training, organizing and funding assistance to the 8 leagues in our district. D2 and all of it's leagues consist of only volunteers. There are over 2,300 children and their families in our district.
The district helps the local little leagues organize game schedules. D2 ensures leagues follow all the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball and Softball. The district organizes all post-season District tournament and All-Star tournament play.
Little League is the largest youth sports organization in the world. Our players are from age 4 to 16. In addition to teaching the child baseball/softball skills, Little League teaches sportsmanship and teamwork skills that supports the enrichment and positive behaviors of these children on and off the field.
The current circumstances of our nation have weighed heavily on our hearts, not only for us each personally, but us as a community. Florida District 2 Little League relies on our community and local businesses generosity to essentially keep us around for the many children we serve.
These are the same businesses that stand to lose the most during this difficult time. Some businesses need our support as they continue to stay open, others will need us standing by to get them back on their feet upon their reopening. The success of these businesses directly affects the future success of the local little leagues.
We have decided as a district to give back to the community by advertising and promoting our sponsors district wide, across all our websites and social media platforms. We encourage you to reach out to your sponsors. Ask questions regarding their current status, hours, intentions and ask for a logo that we can post. We are going to feature a new business as we receive their information. All businesses that we promote will remain on the website through the entirety of this mission. We will post the business name, location, hours of operation and special accommodations necessary to remain open.
