Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome new volunteers in a variety of roles and capacities, such as: co-coaches, head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, HSA Board members, grant writing, business sponsorships, special events, and more.

During the registration process, parents will have an opportunity to volunteer for specific roles related to their child's team, such as Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Co-Coach, Team Manager. Coaching recreational soccer at the elementary school age levels does not require extensive experience with the game of soccer. HSA provides support and resources to help get started. We depend on parent volunteers to provide community-based youth soccer for Hamden kids. It is very common for 2 parents/neighbors/friends to volunteer together as co-coaches.

Outside of the registration process, any members of the community interested in volunteering with HSA are encouraged to contact the HSA President and Vice President. Contact info is listed on the "About HSA" page .
