League Information

Ages and Gender

Each division is made up of a 2-year age group. Our league comprises divisions for kids between the ages of 5 and 14.

Each division has unique programs for boys and girls, other than Tee Ball, which is a co-ed division.

Depending on skill set, players are eligible to move up to the next age group if they are within 1 year of the above group. This is called “dual rostering” by Little League International.

Safety is the main priority in all our divisions; therefore, any player moving up to the next age division must have the appropriate skill set to do so and be approved by the FCVA Board.

Commitment

Games are played twice a week Monday-Saturday. When, where, and how often practices occur are at the discretion of each coach.

While none of the events are required, attendance and participation are highly recommended as they help each player work on the skills of the game along with sportsmanship; team building; and overall respect for player, coaches, umpires and all involved.

The concession stand is the only fundraisers for our league. Parents are required to work 2 shifts in the concession stand during the season.

Timing

Coaches meet in March and April to draft teams. All players will be notified by their coach once final teams are established.

Games begin in April and run through middle of June. Our Tee Ball division begins in May and goes through June.

During school time, an inning will not start after 8:00 pm. Once school is out of session this time extends to 8:30 pm.
